We use a high-quality weighted plastic base, which is more durable (doesn't break in shipping) than marble. We will send the base color in stock when you order unless you select a color. You can pick from white marble, black marble, or walnut. We usually use a crescent base, but you may purchase a rectangular base for your Tennessee walking horse trophies. Most of our bases are about an inch in height.
